Terms of Service

1. The service

PingMyCamp monitors publicly listed campsite availability on platforms such as Recreation.gov and Parks Canada. When a campground you have saved an alert for shows availability matching your dates and preferences, we send you a notification (email or SMS depending on your settings). We do not book sites for you, hold inventory, or operate any campground.

2. We are independent

PingMyCamp is an independent third-party service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by Recreation.gov, the U.S. National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, Parks Canada, the Government of Canada, any state or provincial park system, or any reservation platform. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Alerts are informational only

Notifications tell you when a matching site appeared to be available at the time we checked. They do not constitute a reservation, a hold, or a guarantee.

• Other users may book the same site before you act on a notification.
• Reservation platforms may have inventory rules, lottery systems, or release windows that affect whether you can complete the booking.
• Network delays, our own processing latency, or platform changes can cause occasional false positives or missed openings.

It is your responsibility to verify availability on the official booking platform and to complete the reservation.

4. Your account

To use PingMyCamp you create an account using your email. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information at signup.
• Keeping your email account secure — we sign you in via magic link, so anyone with access to your inbox can access your account.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access (email [email protected]).

5. Subscriptions and payment

Access to scanning and notifications requires a paid Pass once paid plans launch.

• Monthly: $15 per month, billed each month, cancel anytime from your account. Cancellation stops future billing; the current billing period is not prorated.
• Lifetime: $45 one-time payment, no recurring charge. Lifetime access is granted for as long as the service operates.

Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout based on your billing location. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; their terms and privacy practices also apply at the payment step.

6. Refunds

Refund handling is set out in full in our Refund Policy (see /refund). The short version:

• Monthly: 7-day refund window from the most recent charge, only if no alerts have been delivered during that billing period.
• Lifetime: 7-day refund window from purchase, only if no alerts have been delivered.
• After 7 days, or after any alert has been delivered, the charge becomes final.
• Sustained service downtime on our side may qualify for a service credit (not cash) — see the Refund Policy for details.

We cannot refund a missed booking, because securing the reservation is on the booking platform, not on us. The Refund Policy at /refund governs in case of any conflict with this summary.

7. Acceptable use

When using PingMyCamp you agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or republish data we serve to you.
• Reverse engineer the service or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or paid features.
• Resell access to the service or your account credentials.
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages to others.
• Interfere with the operation of the service or the booking platforms we query.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any reservation platform's terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The booking platforms we monitor may change, throttle, or restrict their public APIs at any time, which can affect our ability to deliver alerts. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt, but we cannot guarantee continuous coverage of any particular campground.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, timely, or that it will result in a successful booking. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for missed bookings, lost trips, or lost opportunities. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PingMyCamp harmless from any claim or demand made by a third party arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected] or using the account controls when available. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continued operation of the service becomes infeasible. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If we cannot, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Vietnam, unless a mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PingMyCamp regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
